Spammers are now stooping lower than ever by targeting American college graduates in search of relief from their heaping student loans. Recently, a group of spammers has targeted college students by sending out spam mail with the promise of reducing their student debt.
Life has ended for the Samsung Galaxy Note7. On October 15th, the U.S Department of Transportation (DOT) issued a ban on all Samsung Galaxy Note7 phones due to problems with battery overheating and serious fire hazards. This means, you can’t fly with one, or even have one shipped to you. Samsung recalled more than 2.5 million phones and they have discontinued the product earlier this week.
On Tuesday, October 11, I returned to 580 WCHS’s Ask the Expert radio show to talk to the audience about the importance of data security. I took advantage of this opportunity to speak about the great risks of having your data unsecured and how you can find yourself in some serious trouble if you are not properly protected. More specifically, we discussed Advantage Technology’s Data Security Risk Assessment and how dedicated we are to addressing data security needs.

The whole point of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSA) is to raise awareness about cybersecurity. Things like ransomware, business email compromise, personal health information theft, intellectual property theft and identity theft.

On Tuesday, September 13, I was invited to appear on 580 WCHS’s Ask the Expert show to talk to their audience about Managed Services. While we started the show talking about the incredible ribbon cutting event happening later than morning (and if you missed it, don’t worry, you can watch the video here) We quickly started diving into Managed Services.
It’s been difficult finding nice, sunny days this summer. Unlike last year when we had a wonderful picnic at Kanawha State Forest under sunny skies, this year the threat of rain has been hanging around every weekend. So rather than risk having our company picnic ruined we tried something new. We literally had an office picnic in the office!
