Eric Fields

As a Communications Engineer at Advantage Technology, I design and implement cutting edge telecommunications systems, including basic key systems to advanced PBX and VOIP telephone systems.  I also oversee Information Technology Systems infrastructure installations to ensure that our customers have a solid foundation to build reliable, high performance networks.

Before coming to Advantage Technology, I was an Avionics Technician in the United States Air Force.  I also designed substations for American Electric Power for five years.  I began working in telecommunications in 1999 as a project manager for a large ITS contractor, managing medium to large infrastructure installations in the Mid-Atlantic regions.  After starting a family, I drew my focus to projects closer to home, traveling the state of West Virginia and managing projects in the education sector. I eventually began turning my focus towards the Charleston area and telephony.

In my free time, I enjoy playing music and spending time with my wife, three kids, and granddaughter.
