Even though last year’s big day was in the office, I’m still counting it as a company picnic. And that makes July 22nd our third company picnic. This one was held at Coonskin Park with a big playground and lots of room for the kids to play. We’ve got some new faces since our first picnic, and lots of familiar ones.
Our Advantage is Our People
Advantage Technology was pleased to have almost all of our incredible women attend the Charleston Area Alliance Elevations Professional Women’s Luncheon on June 26th at Embassy Suites, as part of the greater Women & Technology conference hosted by TechConnectWV. As the room was filling, I reflected upon the solid representation of women at our company and the contrast with industry standards. We all have a unique history and serve vastly different, but crucial roles at Advantage Technology.
Advantage Technology is made up of wonderful, helpful, and hard-working people who strive to provide a complete IT solution to our customers. We take pride in this, and we believe it’s what makes us hands down the best IT company in West Virginia. Some of our staff has been with us since day one, while others are just beginning their tenure here. Since our acquisition of former Accurate Systems in Shepherdstown, our team has changed a bit. We are eager to welcome our new team members from the Eastern Panhandle. They bring their own expertise and new ideas to our company.
On Friday, May 5th, Advantage Technology held its very first Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, complete with about 100 tacos! The fiesta began around noon when the catering company, Tastefully Dun, arrived to begin setting up the amazing Mexican cuisine. There were so many tacos that the caterers had to set up the spread in the hallway of the third floor!
