As an Event Coordinator at Advantage Technology, I orchestrate and bring to life a wide range of events that captivate, engage, and leave a lasting impact on attendees. I’ve developed strong relationships with venues, caterers, AV teams, and vendors to deliver the information, ambiance, and technical performances that align with our grand vision for community outreach and education.
When the event day arrives, I step into the role of conductor. I oversee logistics, manage registrations, and troubleshoot any unforeseen challenges. My priority is to create an environment where attendees, speakers, and vendors seamlessly connect and feel well taken care of.
From my first job producing children’s television programming, I learned how to bring an education-oriented approach to all my projects. Those early days of educational programming served me well as I moved to the legal field, consulting on presentations for mediation and jury trials. But ultimately, I found helping businesses and organizations tell their stories to be more exciting work, and I transitioned to commercial content production. Eventually, I landed as the Event Coordinator at Advantage Technology, West Virginia’s largest IT company.
My events strive first to educate. Education is about telling stories in a compelling way and breaking complex subjects down into their constituent parts. Small, captivating stories are easy to present to diverse audiences, and with my technical proficiency, I’ve always been able to find the right technology to deliver the message.
In this dynamic role, my creativity knows no bounds. Every event is an opportunity to innovate, bringing fresh perspectives and unconventional ideas to the table. I take pride in crafting events that leave a lasting imprint on attendees and create cherished memories.
I have been incredibly fortunate to be a part of Advantage Technology during an exciting period of growth, with a dedicated and ambitious team. Since I joined, Advantage Technology has grown from one office to four, from less than twenty employees to over eighty, and made the Inc 5000 list of fastest-growing companies.
In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar, photography, and outdoor recreation. I share these hobbies with my wife and two sons. I also engage in a variety of daily activities to maintain mental and physical health, including daily resistance training, intermittent fasting, waking at 5:00 AM, journaling, and yoga.
