CHARLESTON, WV: Join United Way and Advantage Technology as we host a Lunch and Learn session designed to help non-profits avoid an unwanted cyber-attack. The free event will take place October 11, 11:30a – 1p in the United Way of Central WV offices at 1 United Square, Charleston. Bring a lunch – beverages and desserts will be available.
Chris May, Information Security Consultant at Advantage Technology will lead the discussion. The session is designed to be interactive. May adds, “Small employers and non-profits often don’t consider themselves targets for cyber-attacks due to their size or the perception that they don’t have anything worth stealing. However, you all have valuable information cyber criminals seek, including employee and customer data, bank account information and access to the business’s finances, and intellectual property.”
The session will discuss technology and threats, plus practical ways to improve your security posture. Industry expert Chris May with Advantage Technology will share information about the threats faced by your company and answer your questions about preventative measures. Bring a lunch and join us. Beverages and desserts will be available.
