And no, I’m not just making that up! There’s even an official hashtag, #CyberAware. And if it’s got an official hashtag, you know it’s for real.
The whole point of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSA) is to raise awareness about cybersecurity. Things like ransomware, business email compromise, personal health information theft, intellectual property theft and identity theft.
Take a look at how the FBI is participating in NCSA: https://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/national-cyber-security-awareness-month-2016
The Navy: http://www.navy.mil/submit/display.asp?story_id=96999
And Homeland Security: https://www.dhs.gov/national-cyber-security-awareness-month
That’s just to mention a few. All government agencies are observing NCSA along with private and public businesses large and small.
At Advantage Technology, we’re dedicated to addressing cyber security issues to help both large and small businesses and organizations keep their data, and their client’s data, safe and secure. To that end, we have developed the Data Security Risk Assessment.
The Data Security Risk Assessment is Advantage Technology’s premiere data security product. It is a comprehensive process that our security team will undertake with your company to survey your IT infrastructure, identify security vulnerabilities and recommend hardware, software, and policies to ensure data security.
