Robert Ford
Systems Administrator
As a Systems Administrator at Advantage Technology, I perform routine maintenance on customer’s workstations, servers, network infrastructures and data storage solutions when they experience a system or hardware failure. Thanks to my background with troubleshooting hardware and networking issues of all types, I have been able to help customers with solving their issues with the knowledge I have learned over the past 17 years working within Information Technology.
Before coming to Advantage Technology, I worked a little over 27 years at Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority, rising through ranks from EMT to Paramedic to Assistant Director of Support Services before finally deciding to retire in January. For the last 10 years, I led the procurement, installation, maintenance and coordination of a 24/7 emergency network with multiple software applications, servers, workstations, laptops and various types of networks.
After more than 20 years of coaching softball, baseball, wrestling and football in my community, I now spend my free time enjoying my family and friends. I had always planned on joining Advantage Technology’s team and now that is a reality, and I couldn’t be happier.
