The client had a special need for a custom solution that gave them the full abilities of a PC with scanning capabilities located in a very small space. Since there was no room to provide a desk or any place to set a full size workstation, we were confined with the options we had to fulfill this request.
A wall mounted PC with micro sized workstation attached to the back of a touchscreen monitor which also had a travel sized scanner affixed to the front worked perfectly to add to the existing equipment control panel and did not pollute the area. The user still needs to see out all sides of the building to watch current operation of the equipment and this solution provided this ability, serving all the needs requested. A microfiber cover provided protection to the scanner from coal dust. This has given this user a multitude more abilities to efficiently and effectively do his job, increasing his productivity.
