Advantage Technology Answers a Higher Calling With IT Support For Crossroads Church

The pastor of Crossroads Church was watching a movie with his daughter when it suddenly occurred to him, a movie theater would make an excellent church. There were plenty of rooms, large and small, that could facilitate services and classes. And the layout was perfect for the flow of people.

So in 2019, when the Regal Cinema in Martinsburg went out of business, the Church purchased the property and began the job of converting it to a house of worship. They converted the main theater to an auditorium with seating for over 700 people. A smaller side theater became an overflow room with a video feed directly from the auditorium. They used an entire half of the theater as a kids’ wing with separate classrooms. And the upstairs projector rooms became office space and conference rooms for the Church staff.

But this massive, 32,000 square foot, 30-year-old building offered unique challenges for IT. They would need to provide seamless Wi-Fi throughout the building, run cabling and install security cameras. And that’s not to mention standard IT tools needed for office administration like workstations, laptops and tablets. In order to get this done, Crossroads Church turned to Advantage Technology.

Over the next several months, Advantage Technology provided structured cabling, Wi-Fi, security cameras, telecommunications, workstations, laptops, tablets, and managed services for Crossroad Church. We felt proud of our work every day, knowing that it was going to a higher purpose, and are honored to be part of this incredible transformation.
